Back To Dog College

Our time went much too quickly......Lyric is back at the school with her trainer and "boyfriend" (apparently she has a male kennel mate and they get along very well ;-) ) It was great to have her home, I've missed her tremendously.

It was even more difficult to hand her back a second time than it was the first. There is no Christmas break to look forward to, no more holidays together. The next time I see her will be at Graduation. Lyric is a great dog and will make a wonderful canine partner for someone who needs her much more than I do. As much as I would love to have her back as a pet (yes, I know it's selfish), I know she isn't coming 'home' again. She stole a piece of my heart the first time I saw her picture and she certainly stole a huge chuck of it during our 10 months together. I have many, many fond memories of "my perfect puppy, FP#4" and I will hold them close and cherish each and every one of them.
