Lyric has passed her entrance exams and is now working on her BA in guide work. I don't have much to report other than she passed her medical and temperament tests and has been selected in a string in the CVC program.
She will be coming "home" for a short break from the kennels over the Holidays and I can hardly wait to see her again. Out of all the puppies I have fostered, letting Lyric "go" has been the most difficult. I miss everything about her: bumping me with her nose or tapping me with her paw when she wanted to go outside, the scratch at the door when she wanted back in, seeing her stand with a tiny piece of whatever toy she and Fortune had just destroyed, enticing Fortune to play some more, the look in her eyes just before she leaned back for a hug and belly rub, the funny little noise she made when she was content, constantly tripping over her because she was always underfoot, the close bond she and I shared... the list could go on and on.
Our first stop will be to the downtown mall to get an updated picture with Santa.
