Hi everyone, Fortune here (the Career Change Dog). Lisa keeps talking about a new puppy coming soon and says I will be very happy to have a new playmate. Not that Molson isn't fun or anything but.... he's getting old and can't keep up with me any more. I noticed the other day that his face is the same colour as mine now. Do you think I've made him old before his time??? In case you don't know, Molson is King Tut around here. He never had to wear a green jacket like me and he was allowed on the couch and bed when I wasn't. How fair is that? He's been around for 9 years and is pretty attached to Lisa.

Molson is a Border Collie/Lab mix.
Being a Career Change Dog certainly has it advantages. I'm able to sleep on the couch now and even the bed once in a while. The absolute best thing though, is being able to swim and jump into the lake.

Lisa says I am dog paddling before I even hit the water. Being a typical Lab, I LOVE to swim.

I don't get to go on outings any more in a 'magic' jacket but every once in a while there are events where all dogs are welcome. I went to the Royal Botanical Gardens and met a cute little guy named Calvin there. At first I ignored him (must be that training I had way back when) but it didn't take long for me to decide to play with every dog I met. Here's a picture of me 'ignoring' Calvin.

I hope I get to see him again some day. Next time I won't walk past him without saying hello first!!
Hey Calvin... listen to Sam, she's real smart and she'll teach you what you need to know before you head off to doggy college.
